The famous vegetable tannery turns 150 years old this year (2017) and celebrates with a special natural tannage for our Canadian Market named Lodge.

 

Tannage: Vegetable tanned, Hot Stuffed & Dipped

Duration: 4 weeks in pit + 2 weeks in finishing

Finish: Semi Naked

Hand Feel: Soft touch, medium temper

Weights: 2-3oz (0.8-1.2mm) - 15oz (6.0mm)

 

Colors: Russet, Teak, Walnut, Claret, Black

 

This formula is reminiscent of old world leather that has a natural burnish.  The oils in the leather offer a softer hand and temper that with use, will develop a patina quicker then English Bridle.  The semi-naked finish will show all the character of the hide with natural markings from the jumbo native steer (North America).
